Day Trip to Ouzoud Waterfalls from Marrakech

The day trip to Ouzoud waterfalls from Marrakech takes you about 2h30 by road from Marrakech, on the foothills of the Middle Atlas, to discover the Ouzoud waterfalls, without doubt the most beautiful falls in Morocco and, at 110 m, the highest in North Africa. Located 155 km north-east of Marrakech in the Middle Atlas at 1060 metres altitude, they overlook a wild nature of almond trees, olive trees, fig trees and other carob trees.

The natural site, entirely pedestrian, is home to a community of free-ranging Barbary macaques, providing part of the site's animation. It is reached by small paths. A marked trail, occupied by a few families of gibbon monkeys and descending gently towards the pool, leads us to the restaurant located on the other side of the bank, which we reach using the typical small boats. Once at the bottom, at the foot of the falls, you get into a small boat to be as close as possible to the waterfalls, then you find your lunch ready in a restaurant with a breathtaking view over the waterfalls. You have the possibility to swim in the waterfalls depending on the weather. Its waters throw fine droplets into the air, which are thus almost permanently underlined by a beautiful rainbow.
